Facial massage, relaxing for mind and body
Using a Kansa Wand http://shrsl.com/2ie39 found here at the ayurvedic society link
You will love this three to five minute addition to your skin-care
routine
Just apply your favourite face oil
using your fingers to very lightly slip it over the skin,
covering your face and jaw line and neck
— I love using World Organics Rose Attar face oil and
they have another great face oil they call the Good Oil,
it's honeysuckle and tumeric. Lovely products
Once the oil is evenly over your face you can lightly
apply pressure at the top of the forehead with the
kansa wand... see step by step instructions at the end
Thanks to the Kansa wand’s copper, there's an
added skin-care bonus.
Copper is a very conductive metal, it greatly
assists enzymatic antioxidants to
neutralise free-radical damage to the skin.
The genuine kansa wands have 9 metals, corresponding to the chakras.
It's an ancient Indian recipe called bell metal, from which bells are made.
Simply put, a Kansa Wand will
enhance the function of any
[antioxidant-rich] serum or oil you
apply to your skin.
Occasionally a grey substance appears
on the surface of the skin, don’t worry... it
is easily removed with water, or cleanser
or oil. It’s a positive sign that the skin is
releasing the body’s acidity and detoxifying.

HOW TO GUIDE FOR FACIAL MASSAGE
First, make sure there’s enough oil on
your face to create slip and not drag.
Use pressure that is firm but not enough
to drag or pull the skin
1. Starting in the middle of the forehead at the hairline,
massage the wand in circles
around the middle of the forehead five
times in a counterclockwise direction.
Repeat five times in a clockwise
direction.
2. Draw the figure-eight pattern on the
forehead five times. This calms the
mind and emotions, stimulates
memory, and improves concentration.
It’s also helpful for relieving sinus
headaches.
3. Massage in a zigzag pattern across
the forehead five times, using gentle
pressure.
4. Clench your teeth so that you can
feel the jaw muscle. Massage with
firm pressure in a circular motion at
the edge of the jaw with the wand.
Repeat five times.
5. Circle the cheekbone five times using
firm pressure.
6. Move under the cheekbone. Massage
upward and downward with firm
pressure, moving from the corner of the
mouth up to the earlobe and back to the
corner of the mouth
7. Move to the jawline. Move down from
the ear to along the jaw towards the chin,
from the chin back along the jaw to the
ear lobe.
Clean the wand with oil, I like a fresh
citrus oil on a cloth
Using the kansa wand and the beautiful face oils
available is a beauty regime you will thank yourself
for again and again. Beauty is in the relaxation of
mind and body together and a beautifully
designed face massage can do just that
